Preparation for lay and
ordained ministries

Saint Benedict School for Ministry

The mission of the St. Benedict School for Ministry is to prepare students for ordained and lay ministries in the Church.

Because we believe that all the people of God are called to some form of ministry, the Saint Benedict School for Ministry seeks to prepare everyone for the exciting opportunities to which God calls us. Ministry is not the responsibility and task of the clergy only. If you love God and want to learn more about Him, His Word, His church, and His world, we have courses for you. If you love Anglican tradition, liturgy, history, and theology, we have courses for you. If you want to serve God's people inside and outside the church and to think more deeply about the intersection of faith and practice, we have courses for you. While we do offer a certificate program, you are invited to enroll in any course that interests you whether or not you choose to pursue the certificate.

accurately handling the word of truth."

"St Benedict School for Ministry prepared me well for the diaconate. The instructors were experts in their field, accessible, and eager to help us learn. I have three other degrees from large universities, but my learning experience at St Benedict School for Ministry was by far the best. If you are thinking about furthering your Christian education, I strongly recommend St Benedict's."   Rev. Marti Nickovich Isler
